Hotel Xcaret Mexico & Hotel Xcaret Arte are known for being two of the BEST all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and for having some of the best parks & tours in the Mexican Caribbean. Also, in this travel blog, we describe our experience too (or just WATCH IT HERE instead)!

First things first, there are two Hotel Xcaret's & yes, they are side by side; Hotel Xcaret Mexico, which is a family-friendly all-inclusive resort (click HERE to see the rooms & resort), and Hotel Xcaret Arte, which is an adults-only all-inclusive resort (click HERE to see the rooms & resort). Also, while I'm mentioning these two sister resorts, they have added a 3rd resort to their mix (it is also right next door); La Casa De La Playa, which is also an adults-only all-inclusive resort that offers EVERYTHING Hotel Xcaret offers (click HERE to see the resort).
Now to answer your next question...
Is Hotel Xcaret All Inclusive? YES, YES, YES!!
When booking our trip to Mexico (I can book yours HERE), I spent hours of research on multiple locations. And ultimately ended up doing the MOST research on Hotel Xcaret & trying to figure out as much info as possible... well, here it all is!
This is the FIRST question that came to mind... WHAT IS INCLUDED AT HOTEL XCARET?!
Honestly, how many all-inclusive resorts have you been to, were a few things that should have been included but weren't...
...like that glass of wine you wanted, or those comfy-looking cabanas sitting on the beach, or maybe even a parking spot!!
Anyway, here is a list of the major items (in my mind) that I think most people would want to know that are included (and not included) with your stay at both Hotel Xcaret Mexico & Hotel Xcaret Arte, along with La Casa De La Playa!!
12 restaurants at Hotel Xcaret Mexico (HA & Xpiral restaurants are an additional cost), 9 restaurants at Hotel Xcaret Arte, 4 restaurants at La Casa De La Playa
Yes, that means alcohol too! Oh, I should mention, if you are a wine drinker & like the 'higher' end wine, there is a additional charge.
CLICK HERE to get a complete, accurate description of each park & tour that is included with your stay at each Hotel Xcaret location. There are activities in each park that will be an additional charge (like swimming with the dolphins). Downloading the app 'XCARET PARK' on your phone will tell you which activity is an additional cost!
They provide round-trip transportation to and from all three resorts to the airport (large bus for Arte & Mexico, private car for La Casa) & they provide round-trip transportation to and from all three resorts to all the parks & tours (some busses, some smaller sprinter vans).
If you don't want to ride a bus from the airport & looking for private transfers, I would suggest booking it BEFORE you get to the airport (check rates HERE or HERE). We have booked multiple private transfers in Mexico, and honestly, THIS IS THE ONLY WAY WE GET TO OUR RESORTS!
IF YOU HAVE TO WAIT AT THE CANCUN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT for a transfer, they have a free lounge for Hotel Xcaret guests only, located in terminal 4. On an added side note, if you are flying from the US, most US flights land at terminal 3 (FYI)
If you rent a car, they offer both free parking & paid valet parking! I can't begin to tell you how frustrating it is when a resort charges you an additional fee to utilize a parking spot on the same property that you already booked a room with! Big thumbs up to Hotel Xcaret for giving FREE parking spots!!!
Whether you're interested in a Cruise, guided tour, group trip, independent international travel, just a weekend getaway, and even that bucket list adventure... we can assist you with that!

Trust us, the higher coverage, the better!
Sun Bum has the BEST smell, does NOT give you that 'burning' sensation, is water-resistant up to 80 minutes, and most importantly, OCEAN & REEF FRIENDLY!
Before leaving Cancun Mexico, we noticed a deeper tan with the higher SPF coverage vs the lower!
Not sure if it's just a 'me' thing, but somehow, something ALWAYS happens to the ONE pair of sunglasses that I bring... and then I end up buying a couple that I don't really like that much... tell me I'm not alone here that this happens too?!
I, Ashley, love Blenders Eyewear & my guys (Nate & Blake) prefer the polarized glasses from Knockaround
Don't let your accessories make your vacation to Cancun a negative one!
If you DON'T have a waterproof camera on your Cancun Mexico trip... we need to have a serious talk!
The GoPro 11 is our MAIN camera for everything, even our YouTube videos. Giving you 4K videos, amazing photos, incredible stabilization, & it's super compact! Don't believe me, check out THIS video when we swam with the Whale Sharks in Mexico!
You get what you pay for... TRUST ME!!
Call me a germaphobe, but the idea of utilizing a snorkel set from the resort or a tour, that multiple other people have used... nah, I'm good!
This one can get tight enough for my small head and larger enough for our son's (bigger) head & of course these water fins are the perfect size for your carry-on!
When you get to Mexico, exploring can be fun, but be sure to take your 'small' essentials with you in a small backpack of some sort! And if you are going ANYWHERE there will be water, take a dry bag or dry-pack backpack instead! There is nothing worse than wanting to take your cell phone, other electronics, & a pair of clothes & try to keep them dry!!
If you didn't know, YOU SHOULD NOT DRINK THE WATER IN MEXICO! You WILL get sick and let me tell you, I learned this the very first time I visited Mexico, when I was 19. Never Again!
Thankfully, we discovered THIS water bottle made by Water To Go that actually has one of the best water filter inserts inside the bottle itself! Its like having a lifestraw, but with a water bottle to complete it!
Do NOT leave home without this! Yes, Mexico will have chapstick, but they may not have SPF specifically. The sun gets hot and since most of the time you will be either in the sun or salty ocean, you will want to keep your lips from getting fried and dried out! Once again Sun Bum SPF 30 is one of our favorites!
I can't tell you how many times this portable charger has been a HUGE lifesaver, especially because we are NOT always conveniently sitting next to an electrical outlet.
'I want to stay inside for an hour to charge my phone, while on vacation in Mexico'... SAID NO ONE EVER!
We each only brought 4 of these guys on this Mexico trip! Living in Florida, we are out on the ocean & beach as much a possible and because of that, we now incorporate these SPF/UPF Shirts every vacation and beach trip that we go on. Nate & Blake's SPF preference (men's), and my SPF preference (woman's)
I know this sounds like an odd one, but these were the BEST random items that we brought with us to Mexico. You never know what to expect when you are ready to eat & drink in a different country! These charcoal pills & these Alka Seltzer EXTRA STRENGTH pills were a MASSIVE lifesaver... especially on the day, I decided to over-indulge in the Tequila. Oh, and throwing in a Pedialite will save your life too!
The charcoal should be taken an hour before eating and the Alka Seltzer pretty much as soon as you start to have a stomach ache.
These are excellent for when you are going to get your feet wet, especially at the Hotel Xcaret parks, where you will be in and out of the water! They are comfy and dry pretty quickly and they have a nice sole for walking, like tennis shoes. Of course, you can use tennis shoes, but these Water Shoes dry WAY faster and are made specifically for water AND for walking on those different surfaces.
Keeping your beverages cold in Mexico is hard, so if you have a favorite insulated mug, take it with you!
Also, if you like straws...BRING ONE!
I typically like drinking out of a straw, but Hotel Xcaret has NO straws (for the safety of the sea critters). So if you like to drink out of a straw, you will need to bring your own!
With travel being a passion for us, we understand how important it is to you when you are ready to spend your hard-earned vacation money! And we pride ourselves on giving you the same time & effort as if we were planning a vacation for ourselves.
We know time is of the essence and want to ensure we utilize it to its fullest potential when we book your next vacation. The process of researching and putting together a customized, bespoke proposal that matches your travel desires takes time. On average, we spend 15 hours working on a trip from initial discussion through your arrival back home.
When you are ready, go ahead & fill out the Hotel Xcaret travel request form below,
& we will get started on designing your next amazing vacation to Mexico.
My team & I look forward to working with you!
