Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa - Las Vegas, Nevada

If you're planning a vacation to Las Vegas, you should consider staying at the Red Rock Casino Resort & Spa (⬅ click to watch our YouTube video review).

We did a 'first' for our Christmas celebration and took a destination Christmas vacation. Mexico was in our sights, but at the last minute, we decided to stay in the States and vacationed to Las Vegas, Nevada, instead! We stayed on the outskirts of Las Vegas, skipped the famous Las Vegas Strip (Las Vegas Blvd), and stayed at the Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa (roughly 12 miles from the strip). This place was A-MAZ-ING! 

Most would stay on strip and avoid creating more cost for themselves, such as transportation, and be in the heart of the action, staying close to shopping, shows, bars, etc. But... I'll tell you why this location might surprise you, and maybe you will change your mind. 

I'll warn you... this place is a MASSIVE compound... be prepared to have your mind blown. When you look at the Red Rock Casino from the outside, it doesn't 'seem' big enough to house all these different amenities/options available to you... here we go. 

• 10 pools in total - see pictures HERE (this includes a separate pool specifically for guests who pay for spa service/treatment... its amazing and when you go, ask for Maria... she was just so kind and funny, you will love her too!)

POOL SIDE NOTE: During the 'off' season (Las Vegas winter), they shutdown the main pool with exception to 2 small side pools, and heat them up, to be used as hot tubs! 

• 8 full service restaurants (all amazing restaurants, with low to high price ranges), & a large food court with multiple choices, & a buffet (it was closed due to covid) 

• A couple little shops on sight and a MASSIVE shopping mall/market within walking distance (literally across the street). Just look up Downtown Summerlin on your gps, and you will see all the shops and restaurants a block over

• Car rentals - Yes! You can rent from them if you didn't schedule a car before hand. As an added bonus, if you rented from an outside carrier (not on sight), some of the rental companies work directly with the Red Rock Resort, and you can leave the car with their concierge, generally at no extra charge (call the rental company to confirm)

• 2 Starbucks on sight
• Casino floor with a bazillion slot machines, high stakes rooms, bingo, keno, sports betting, table games etc.
• 10 bars/lounges spread thru out (includes bars inside restaurants)
• Full service spa (sadly the sauna & steam rooms were closed at the time due to covid aka the beer virus)
• Medium sized gym with nearly everything you could ask for
• Bowling alley (its full size with 72 lanes)
• Movie Theater with 16 screens (Regal Cinemas & IMAX)
• Arcade room (great for kids and adults 😉)
• Kids Zone (babysitting available)
• Multiple meeting/ conference rooms available
